Seeking a better quality of life, the Wheelers moved from the bay area of California to Bonner County 10 years ago this October. Daryl has been married to his wife Diane nearly three decades. They have four children, Ben, Grace, Rachel and Zack.

Many people recognize the Wheeler children from their involvement with the Community. Zack volunteers several hours each month at the Panhandle Animal Shelter, Rachel sings with the Pend Oreille Chorale, Grace spent the last four years as Co-Director of the Productions sponsored by POAC & the Missoula Children’s Theatre at the Panida and Ben was one of the first volunteers with the East Hope Fire Department.

Currently active in Taekwondo, the Wheeler children have participated in Community Sports as well: Zack and Rachel played several seasons of soccer, Grace played basketball for Clark Fork Jr. High and Ben was awarded State Honors as a defensive lineman for Clark Fork High School. Ben and his wife Susanna along with their daughter Alexandria, live in CDA. Diane is a full time at home mom, a Juice Plus Distributor and teaches a history/government class part time.
